j KUSH, formerly known as j-Gutta, is an Alabama super star by Way of Detroit Michigan. Known mostly for his out of sight Production talent, j Kush has become renown in the Alabama hip Hop community for both his lyrical talent and his hit beats. With the release of his latest mixtape, “futuristic instrumental, Vol. 1″, j KUSH combines the passion of a Grammy winning producer with the charisma of an A-list rap star.
Getting his start in early 2000, j KUSH’s (then J-Gutta) was inspired to make music from the heart break of the deaths of his father and grandfather. J KUSH’S first love was production but he began to develop his lyrical skills in 2006 when he linked up with his first rap group the “D Boyz” during his freshman year in college. j KUSH’s time with D Boyz was short-lived because in 2007 he relocated to Talladega, Alabama to enroll at Talladega college on a basketball scholarship. j KUSH set central Alabama on fire with a mix of production projects and local rap shows. j KUSH was quickly signed to “Off The Chain Records” and collaborated on 4 musical projects including his own album. Kush’s signature project was “Determination of a Ryder” by hit artist Odyssey on which he single handedly produced each track. In 2009 j KUSH released his first mixtape “Man Of The Year” which included his hit single “Delta”. In 2010 j KUSH “Off The Chain Records” and changed his name from J-Gutta to j KUSH and released the groundbreaking instrumental mixtape “futuristic Vol i”. j KUSH continues to make moves and stay true to the game with his innovative work as a producer and rapper.
